Andrew Russo provides legal counsel to a variety of health care providers including hospital and medical systems, ambulatory care facilities, nursing homes, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, physician groups, physicians, and other health care entities. He handles a range of health care transactional issues including mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, asset and stock purchases, shareholder and operating agreements, joint ventures, employment and independent contractor agreements, assumption of Medicare enrollment, contracts, and facility and provider licensure.

Andrew also advises clients on regulatory compliance. As such, his work regularly involves the analysis of fraud and abuse matters involving the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and Medicare.

Prior to joining Brach Eichler, Andrew was previously an Associate at Frier & Levitt, LLC where he advised specialty and retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical wholesalers, and other health care providers in the areas of commercial and corporate litigation and health care industry regulation.

Previously, Andrew served as a judicial intern to the Honorable William H. Pauley III, U.S.D.J., United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and as a legal intern with the New York State Office of the Attorney General, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. While at Seton Hall University School of Law, he was the recipient of several honors including the Peter W. Rodino, Jr. Scholarship Award, the Joseph P. LaSala Scholarship Award, the Presidential Scholarship Award, and the Public Interest Law Fellowship. During law school, Andrew also received certification in health care compliance through Seton Hall University School of Law’s Healthcare Compliance Certification Program.
