Rita Jennings' practice includes the representation of a variety of health care professionals, group practices, medical societies, ambulatory care facilities and hospitals in corporate, transactional and regulatory matters, including anti-kickback laws, the Stark and Codey anti-referral laws and other fraud and abuse issues.
Rita engages in the preparation, review and negotiation of agreements relating to health care entities, including employment agreements, shareholder agreements, operating agreements, asset purchase agreements, releases and confidentiality agreements. In addition, Rita represents hospitals in special medical and long-term guardianship petitions.
Prior to joining Brach Eichler, Rita's legal practice included the representation of pharmaceutical companies in matters relating to securities litigation and FDA regulatory issues, including new drug approval and good manufacturing practices.

Rita attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Health Related Professions, where she completed the Medical Technology Certification program.

Rita served as the law clerk to the Honorable Richard Newman, J.A.D., of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division.
Prior to pursuing a legal career, Rita was the supervisor of the chemistry and immunology laboratories for a Northern New Jersey hospital and was regularly involved in Joint Commission, CAP, and other regulatory and compliance issues relating to hospital laboratories.
