Susan Dromsky-Reed is a Member of the Trusts and Estates, Business and Tax Group at Brach Eichler L.L.C. . She concentrates her practice in estate planning.

 

Ms. Dromsky-Reed received her J.D., with honors, from George Washington University, her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University and her B.A., magna cum laude, with honors in Mathematics from Hamilton College. She served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert J. Passero, Superior Court of New Jersey, Passaic County. 

 

Ms. Dromsky-Reed serves as a trustee of the New Jersey Chapter of the Huntington's Disease Society of America. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Essex County Estate Planning Council. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey.

 

Ms. Dromsky-Reed is the author of a chapter on inheritance and estate tax for the New Jersey Tax Handbook, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 editions, published by American Lawyer Media. She is the co-author of "The Charitable Lead Annuity Trust, Estate Planning for the Charitably Inclined," published in the New Jersey Law Journal in July 2008;  "The Grantor Retained Annuity Trust: A Tax-Favored Way of Passing Wealth to the Next Generation,” published in the New Jersey Law Journal in July 2007; and of "Life Insurance Has a Price: The Hazards of Nonrecourse Premium Financing in New Jersey," published in the New Jersey Law Journal in November 2006. She is the author of "Planning for Grandchildren: Preserve the GST Exemption," published in New Jersey Lawyer in July 2006.
