Jenny Carroll practices health care law and provides services to a wide range of clients, including physicians, dentists, chiropractors, medical societies, nursing homes, athletic facilities, hospitals and other health care professionals in a variety of transactional matters applicable to the practice and business of health care. Such representation includes corporate and licensure compliance, reimbursement issues, physician/hospital joint ventures, ambulatory surgery center development, management services arrangements, shareholder and employment issues and guardianship matters. Her work regularly involves analysis of pending legislation and federal and state statutes and regulations, including anti-kickback, HIPAA, HITECH Act, fraud and abuse, Medicare and Medicaid.
Jenny has also counseled clients in the life sciences area concerning technology and product development, joint ventures, advertising and contract negotiation in commercial transactions, both domestic and international.
PUBLICATIONS AND SPEECHES
Jenny spoke on negotiating EHR contracts at the "Medical Professionals Information" session held on April 12, 2011 at Bergen Community College. She was also the author of "Legal Examination of Physician Advertising on the Internet," which appeared in the 2006 edition of
Facial Plastic Surgery, the official journal of the European Academy of
Facial Plastic Surgery, and co-author of "It Pays to Practice: A Look at Pay for Performance," which appeared in the 2007 Health Law edition of
New Jersey Lawyer Magazine.
