Brach Eichler Welcomes Edwin T. Brondo, Jr. as a Member and Ryan G. Sylvia as an Associate in its Corporate Transactions and Financial Services Group

Brach Eichler LLC is pleased to announce that Edwin “Ed” Brondo, Jr., has joined the firm as a member in the Firm’s Corporate Transactions and Financial Services Group. Ed is bringing more than 20 years of broad-based legal experience in business transactions, commercial lending, corporate law and governance, real estate, trusts and estates, and complex litigation. He is joined by Ryan G. Sylvia, who comes to the firm as an associate in the same practice group.
Brondo is widely recognized for approaching client matters with practical business judgment combined with a high degree of technical legal skill. His practice spans the full lifecycle of business representation, from formation and financing to dispute resolution and succession planning.

Brondo has extensive experience representing both institutional and private lenders in all aspects of commercial lending transactions, including loans secured by real estate, accounts receivable, and other collateral. He regularly advises clients on specialty lending arrangements such as mezzanine financing and factoring, as well as workouts, modifications, collections, foreclosures, bankruptcy matters, and creditor rights issues.
In addition to his lending practice, Brondo counsels clients ranging from start-ups to publicly traded companies across industries including manufacturing, distribution, service businesses, and technology. He handles mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions, redemptions, partner buy-outs, restructurings, private equity transactions, corporate governance, compliance programs, and general commercial contracts. He also serves as outside general counsel to numerous businesses, advising on entity formation, operating and shareholder agreements, succession planning, and risk management strategies.
His combined experience in business and estate planning uniquely positions him to assist clients with asset protection strategies, including dynasty planning and the use of corporate entities and trusts.
Ryan Sylvia joins the firm as an Associate with more than 10 years of experience representing clients in a wide range of commercial real estate and business transactions. He works with lenders and borrowers on all phases of commercial loan transactions secured by real estate and other forms of collateral and has experience with loan workouts, including loan modifications, forbearance agreements, and loan extensions. In addition, he represents investors, developers, and buyers and sellers in real estate transactions and negotiates and drafts commercial lease agreements for landlords and tenants across a variety of property types, including retail, multifamily, restaurant, and mixed-use properties. “Ryan is a great addition,” said Brian Lenker, “his extensive experience in lending and real estate matters complements and adds depth to our corporate and financial services group.”
Sylvia also regularly advises businesses on formation, corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, trademarks, and licensing matters.

Prior to entering private practice, Brondo served as a law clerk to the Honorable Louis C. Benza of the Supreme Court of New York, Commercial Division, Albany County. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Albany Law School of Union University and his B.A., cum laude, from St. Lawrence University. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, the District of Columbia, Tennessee, and West Virginia, as well as multiple U.S. District Courts.
Ryan Sylvia earned his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law and his B.A. from the University of South Florida. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey.
