Assembly Bill 3909, introduced in the New Jersey Assembly on February 27, 2024, would establish “Max’s Law.” This Bill would require school districts to provide instruction on the dangers of certain synthetic drugs. The schools would be required to include information regarding abuse prevention for these synthetic drugs; poisoning awareness for these synthetic drugs; recognizing the symptoms of poisoning; what to do in an emergency; and immunity for those who report drug or alcohol use or who seek treatment.
