Brach Eichler LLC, a premier full-service law firm with a specialty in healthcare law, is pleased to announce the arrival of Isabelle Bibet-Kalinyak as a member in the firm’s national Healthcare Law Practice. Ms. Bibet-Kalinyak will be based in the firm’s Roseland, NJ office.

Ms. Bibet-Kalinyak has more than 30 years of international business experience and focuses her practice on healthcare law, with an emphasis on corporate, transactional, and compliance matters for physicians and a broad array of healthcare institutions across the supply chain spectrum. As one of the few French business attorneys in the U.S. and a first-generation immigrant herself, her practice has over time organically expanded to transnational business transactions and immigration. Ms. Bibet-Kalinyak brings vast knowledge and experience advising U.S. clients with operations in French-speaking countries as well as companies based in French-speaking countries seeking to expand in the U.S. Her expertise also spans immigration law, representing clients in employment-based immigration matters in healthcare, biotech, and manufacturing.

“When over 25% of the physicians in the U.S. are foreigners, knowledge of immigration law is paramount and complementary to healthcare law in advising clients on contracts and transactional matters,” says Ms. Bibet-Kalinyak.

Prior to joining Brach Eichler, Ms. Bibet-Kalinyak was a partner and corporate M&A and compliance healthcare attorney at McDonald Hopkins LLC where she also led the firm’s Immigration Practice Group. Before her time at McDonald Hopkins, Ms. Bibet-Kalinyak worked as a corporate healthcare attorney for the law firm of Brouse McDowell after honing her skills in-house for a major health system (Akron General Health System, now part of The Cleveland Clinic) and a county hospital (Robinson Memorial Hospital, now part of University Hospitals). She is a frequent speaker at national conferences such as the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and lectures on advanced topics related to healthcare, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and business immigration. In 2019, she was appointed by the French Government as Honorary Consul with jurisdiction over northern and central Ohio.

“We are proud to welcome Isabelle Bibet-Kalinyak to Brach Eichler LLC as a member,” said John D. Fanburg, Brach Eichler Managing Member. “Healthcare attorneys at this high caliber are scarce, and we are honored Isabelle will join Brach Eichler as we continue to add more depth, breadth, and diversity to our healthcare practice and expand it from New Jersey to New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, and well beyond. I look forward to Isabelle’s future contributions to the firm.”

A recognized leader in the industry, Ms. Bibet-Kalinyak was selected as Super Lawyers Ohio Rising Star from 2017 to 2021 and named in Crain’s Cleveland “Five to Watch in Law” in 2017. She was also the recipient of Lawyer Monthly’s 2018 Women in Law Award in Healthcare, and the Honorable Arthur J. Goldberg Memorial Prize in Constitutional Law. Her Pro Bono Award for most completed community service and pro bono hours of all University of Akron School of Law graduating part-time students is a testament to her passion for serving.

“I’m thrilled to join Brach Eichler because of the firm’s deep-rooted experience in healthcare, as demonstrated by its success handling the most complex healthcare cases, including the recent prestigious recognition as 2021 Healthcare Litigation Department of the Year by New Jersey Law Journal,” said Ms. Bibet-Kalinyak. “It’s exciting to join such a healthcare powerhouse. I am eager to bring my experience working with physicians in multiple specialties, practice and hospital administrators, and stakeholders across the U.S. health system to deliver impactful client-centered results.”

Ms. Bibet-Kalinyak holds a B.B.A. in finance from the Centre d’Etudes Franco-Américain de Management (CEFAM, France), a B.B.A. in finance from Temple University, an M.B.A from Kent State University, and a J.D. from The University of Akron School of Law. She is currently awaiting admission to the New Jersey Bar and is admitted to the Bar in Ohio.
