Roseland, NJ (March 4, 2021) – Brach Eichler LLC, a full-service law firm based in Roseland, NJ, is pleased to announce the promotion of four of the firm’s Associate attorneys to Counsel, effective immediately.

Colleen Buontempo, Edward Hilzenrath, and David J. Ritter Jr., have been promoted to Counsel in the Firm’s Litigation; Healthcare Law; Corporate Transactions & Financial Services; and Trusts and Estates Practices, respectively. All are based in the Firm’s Roseland, NJ office.

Michael H. Ansell, Litigation – Michael focuses his practice on business, commercial, and general litigation and has conducted numerous jury and bench trials in both New Jersey and New York. He has experience litigating a wide range of matters including employment-related disputes, personal injury claims, commercial lease disputes, class actions, Consumer Fraud Act claims, corporate/shareholder disputes, intellectual property litigation, estate disputes, legal malpractice claims, and secured property actions.

Michael earned a B.A. from Tufts University and received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. Michael is admitted to the bar in New Jersey and New York. He resides in Jersey City, NJ.

Colleen Buontempo, Healthcare Law – Colleen represents clients primarily in PIP arbitration. She has successfully represented and recovered millions of dollars for her clients including individuals, ambulatory care facilities, hospitals, physician groups, and healthcare entrepreneurs. Colleen also has experience in a wide variety of legal areas, including criminal defense, automotive litigation, premises liability, worker’s compensation, negligent security, New York labor law, and products liability.

Colleen earned a B.S. from Wayne State University and received her J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Colleen is admitted to the Bar in New Jersey and New York. She resides in Westfield, NJ.

Edward Hilzenrath, Healthcare Law – Edward represents various healthcare providers across a spectrum of healthcare-related legal matters, including corporate, transactional, and regulatory issues. His clients include hospitals, physicians, physician groups, ambulatory surgical centers, and imaging centers. Ed advises clients on practice formations and sales, buy-sell agreements, employment issues, practice mergers, fraud and abuse, anti-kickback and Stark law compliance, HIPAA compliance, and professional board matters.

Edward holds a B.S. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is admitted to the Bar in New Jersey and New York. Edward resides in Short Hills, NJ.

David J. Ritter, Jr., Corporate Transactions & Financial Services; Trusts and Estates – David is experienced in preparing wills, revocable trusts, living wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare agent designations. He advises clients on the many ways to structure these documents, including creating trusts to hold assets and establishing an estate plan that achieves client objectives while minimizing tax consequences. In the area of corporate formation, David advises clients with respect to the best type of business entity and the agreements and contracts that are necessary for the business.

David earned a B.A. from The College of New Jersey and a J.D. from Rutgers Law School. He is admitted to the Bar in New Jersey. David resides in Milltown, NJ.
