With almost 30 years of diversified experience as a wealth transfer strategist, Matak identifies opportunities for her clients to mitigate income taxes while achieving their business succession, asset protection, and estate planning goals. Her practice focuses on developing customized strategies to preserve and transfer wealth efficiently, navigate complex tax issues, and achieve long-term family and business objectives.

Matak’s practice includes income and estate tax planning, asset protection, life insurance structuring, and post-mortem planning. She is widely regarded as a leading voice in her field and is a frequent speaker for organizations such as the National Tax Institute; New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Greater New Jersey Estate Planning Council. She serves on the editorial board of Trusts & Estates magazine for which she co-authors the print journal’s bi-monthly column Practical Practice Solutions and has authored numerous articles for prominent tax and estate planning publications. In addition, she co-authored Estate Planning: Estate, Tax and Other Planning after the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.
