Commercial Litigation Attorney (10+ years’ experience)
We are looking to add a senior-level Business and Commercial Litigation Attorney with at least 10 years of experience to our dynamic and expanding law firm. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience handling complex business disputes and demonstrate the ability to independently manage cases from inception through trial or resolution in both State and Federal Courts. Experience in construction litigation, as well as contract review and negotiation, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all phases of commercial litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, court appearances, mediation, arbitration, and trial. Experience with orders to show cause/emergent applications in the Chancery Division.
- Represent clients in a variety of business and commercial disputes, including contract disputes, vender agreements, disputes regarding restrictive covenants, trade secret litigation, confidential information and unfair competition claims, partnership and Limited liability disputes among members, and other Chancery and business litigation matters. Construction litigation experience is a plus.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; prepare and argue motions in state and federal court.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and litigation support staff.
- D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar required; admission to the New York Bar a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of commercial litigation experience with demonstrated success handling complex cases.
- Trial experience strongly preferred.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $190,000 – $210,000. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications.
