Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

Brach Eichler’s commitment to DEI is a strategic imperative and is rooted in our vision to have a workforce in which our employees can reach their fullest potential in an inclusive environment. We recognize that diverse perspectives reap better results and more value for our clients.

Our efforts extend through a multi-pronged approach focused on attracting, developing, and retaining culturally diverse talent. This includes driving change and supporting our attorneys, legal staff, and business professionals through our Diversity Committee, Diversity Advisory Group, affinity groups, programs, and partnerships.

Culture of Inclusion - Create an environment that fosters inclusion and belonging. We strive to ensure all our people can bring their full, authentic selves to work each and every day.

Client Engagement - Collaborate with clients and the legal community on diversity and inclusion programming.

Inclusive Recruitment - We recruit exceptionally talented, committed, and knowledgeable individuals by working with a range of organizations and resources to develop diverse, successful employees.

Brand, Reputation, and Community - Seek to establish Brach Eichler as a leader in diversity for our clients, team, business partners, and legal industry.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Action

Brach Eichler supports a range of initiatives that give lawyers the opportunity to thrive and contribute positively to their communities. Presently, the firm offers internal training, mentoring, and networking programs, as well as business development and leadership workshops.

Diversity Committee and Advisory Group

In strategizing how to effectively foster this firmwide transformation effort, a multi-pronged approach was created which focused on attracting, developing, and retaining culturally diverse talent. The multi-pronged approach included driving change and supporting our attorneys through the creation of a Diversity Committee, as well as affinity groups, and programs that partner with diversity-related bar associations and other legal industry and community organizations.

The Diversity Advisory Group is made up of firmwide employees at all levels who engage in professional development discussions and firm policies and procedures, in order to further the firm's ongoing diversity and inclusion efforts.

The firm works with a DEI consultant who is tasked with the integration of a diversity and inclusion strategy along with the assessment of organizational performance in order to establish, design, and implement initiatives that build and sustain a high performing, inclusive, and culturally competent Brach Eichler workforce.

BEWISE – Brach Eichler Women’s Initiative for Success and Excellence

At Brach Eichler, women serve at the highest levels of the firm—on the Executive Committee and as policy and compensation committee members. The mission of BEWISE, Brach Eichler’s professional women’s program, is to empower the women of Brach Eichler and prepare them for fulfilling leadership positions in the law and at the firm. Through periodic meetings and monthly gatherings, our female lawyers—partners and associates alike—educate each other about the work they do and share experiences, challenges, and solutions. These internal networking opportunities foster camaraderie and an environment of mentorship, learning and, importantly, one of women helping women.

Several times a year, our BEWISE leaders reach out to likeminded women’s groups in other professional firms in order to build relationships, both personal and professional. The result is not only a business development opportunity but an informative and enriching experience for all.

Annually, BEWISE hosts an event inviting members’ professional female contacts from the area, featuring an external speaker on a topic of interest to the women at Brach Eichler and beyond. Stay tuned for information about our next event.
