Brach Eichler Boosts Growth of Litigation Practice, Announcing Two New Members, Edward D. Altabet and Andrew Macklin, and Associate Susan Schulman

Brach Eichler LLC, a premiere full-service law firm based in Roseland, NJ, is pleased to welcome Edward D. Altabet and Andrew Macklin as Members to Brach Eichler’s Litigation Group, along with associate Susan Schulman.

Edward D. Altabet’s practice focuses on high-stakes and high-risk litigation across many sectors, including financial services, banking, securities, wealth management, manufacturing, and real estate. Altabet focuses on commercial litigation and investigations, resolving commercial and civil disputes and lender and creditor rights is a core part of his practice.

Prior to joining Brach Eichler, Altabet was a partner at Cohen Seglias in New York City. He earned a B.A. in philosophy from Binghamton University, a M.A. in philosophy from Columbia University, and a JD/LLM from Cornell Law School. He resides in Maplewood, NJ.

A highly-skilled litigator with extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, Andrew R. Macklin joins Brach Eichler’s commercial litigation group. Macklin focuses his practice on construction litigation, complex commercial litigation, consumer protection and probate disputes.

Prior to joining the firm, Macklin was a Partner with Cohn Lifland Pearlman Herrmann & Knopf LLP. He also served as an adjunct professor at Fordham University School of Law, teaching trial advocacy through the award-winning Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Center. Macklin recently completed his term serving on the Attorney Ethics Committee for District IIA. He holds a B.A. from Emory University and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Macklin is a graduate of the Justice Morris Pashman American Inn of Court. He resides in Chatham, NJ.

Susan Schulman joins Brach Eichler’s litigation practice as an associate with a focus on healthcare litigation. She is admitted to the New Jersey and New York Bars, as well as the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey. Schulman comes to Brach Eichler with experience in the areas of insurance defense, consumer law, and bankruptcy. She holds a B.A. from American University and a J.D. from Pace University School of Law. She resides in Morris Plains, NJ.
