Brach Eichler LLC Announces Its Executive Committee 

Firm welcomes Keith Roberts to the EC 

Roseland, NJ (April 1, 2024) – Brach Eichler LLC, a full-service law Firm based in Roseland, NJ, announced the election of five members to its Executive Committee and one Chair of the Executive Committee, effective April 1st.  Keith Roberts, Chair of the Litigation practice, is the newest member to the Executive Committee. Fanburg will remain active as the Chair of the Firm’s Executive Committee. Members of the Committee serve 2 year terms and serve as the primary decision-making body of the Firm.

The Executive Committee members are as follows:

John D. Fanburg has more than 35 years of experience in health and hospital law, with an emphasis on corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters for physicians and healthcare institutions. John is known for providing strategic advice and transactional legal guidance in corporate M&A and regulatory matters. John’s clients include major hospitals, multi-specialty and single specialty medical groups, ACOs, ambulatory surgery centers, ambulatory care facilities, investors in private equity transactions, imagery centers, laboratories, physician specialty organizations and IVF providers. John helps local and national healthcare providers position themselves to deal with the constantly evolving medical marketplace, particularly healthcare reform.

Susan Dromsky-Reed is co-chair of Brach Eichler’s trusts and estates practice group.  She is a trusted advisor who is committed to providing personalized service and guidance to her clients, allowing them to plan for the future and achieve their estate planning objectives.  She offers strategies to her clients to transfer assets to their heirs, while considering income, estate, and inheritance tax planning laws.  Susan provides individuals and families with planning and tax advice regarding spousal, intergenerational, and business succession; charitable planning; life insurance planning; structuring revocable and irrevocable trusts, structuring dynasty trusts, structuring limited partnerships and limited liability companies and preparation of prenuptial agreements.  A member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, she brings a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between personal estate planning and business interests and assists business owners, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals in ensuring a seamless transition of their business interests and assets to the next generation.

Alan R. Hammer has concentrated his practice in the areas of investment real estate transactions and tax appeals, representing the purchasers and sellers of office buildings, shopping centers, industrial facilities, apartment complexes, and vacant land. Alan is also personally active in the acquisition, ownership, management, and operation of investment properties, primarily multifamily complexes, throughout New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. He is also recognized for his ability to effectively assist in the resolution of inter-family or inter-partner/member disputes as they relate to the ownership of all types of real estate assets. Alan brings this vast knowledge and experience – as well as his unique perspective – to every transaction. He is a former Managing Partner of Brach Eichler and has served on the firm’s Executive Committee since its inception.

Brian R. Lenker represents lending institutions, funds and businesses across a broad range of corporate and commercial finance transactions. Brian focuses his practice on commercial real estate and asset based lending, working capital financing involving FEMA and CDBG programs, acquisitions, sales, reorganizations of businesses, and real estate law. Representing banks, private equity funds, commercial real estate clients, and business entities ranging from start-ups to well established private corporations to health care companies to large supermarket chains, Brian applies his extensive knowledge of structured finance to help his clients assess their risks and meet their capital needs. He also serves as outside counsel to a number of companies across these industries, acting as a trusted advisor in helping clients grow their businesses.

Allen J. Popowitz brings a business-oriented approach to his leadership of Brach Eichler’s Real Estate Group. Allen has in-depth experience across the full gamut of commercial real estate matters.  He capitalizes on his combined business and legal acumen to navigate all aspects of real estate ventures and transactions, including acquisitions, sales, financing, 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges, development, leasing, management, loan workouts, ownership restructuring and resolution of intra-ownership disputes. His extensive background spans all asset types, including office, industrial, multifamily, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use properties in markets locally, regionally and across the nation.

Keith J. Roberts chairs the litigation department and is recognized by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a certified civil trial attorney.  Keith is  well-recognized by the bar as a leading practitioner in the healthcare and regulatory fields, representing health industry clients with litigation and compliance matters, including complex commercial litigation, licensure issues, audits, reimbursement disputes and investigations.  Keith is well recognized by his peers for successful outcomes at jury trials, administrative hearings and arbitrations.  He regularly counsels hospital systems, surgical centers, medical practices, and licensed individuals on regulatory issues, practice structure and other compliance matters.
