Litigation Practice Obtains Significant Arbitration Award For Real Estate Client

On August 21, 2019, Brach Eichler’s litigation team obtained an arbitration award on behalf of the majority owner of commercial condo units at a New Jersey property. The minority owners of the units commenced the arbitration seeking to declare a special assessment, intended to remedy years of mismanagement and disrepair, invalid and sought over $300,000 from the majority owner. The majority owner prevailed in the arbitration obtaining dismissal of the minority owners’ claims as well as an order compelling the minority owners to pay their share (approximately $422,000) of the special assessment within 90 days. On the case for Brach Eichler was Member Anthony M. Rainone, Esq., Associate Lucas Markowitz, Esq., and Paralegal Claudia Budris. Markowitz was lead counsel for the arbitration hearing.
