Amy M. Van Fossen (she/her) is Counsel in Brach Eichler’s Tax and Estate Planning & Administration groups. Amy brings considerable experience in sophisticated estate planning and administration, representing individuals, families, and business owners in developing effective estate planning strategies to minimize transfer taxes and protect their legacies. She is well-versed in the full range of estate planning tools, including wills, revocable trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, and other vehicles designed to protect high net worth individuals and preserve multi-generational wealth. Amy also maintains an extensive estate administration practice, having handled matters ranging from modest estates to those valued in the billions. Her estate planning and administration experience includes the preparation of gift tax returns, state inheritance and estate tax returns, and federal estate tax returns.

Amy has a particular passion for serving the LGBTQ+ community in estate and family planning; and brings a thoughtful understanding of the unique legal needs and concerns that affect its members, ensuring that every client’s plan reflects their values, relationships, and goals.

Amy counsels private foundation clients on tax compliance, operational requirements, and other matters specific to charitable entities. She also represents individuals in tax controversy matters before the Internal Revenue Service and the New Jersey Division of Taxation.
